Veep: The Complete Series [Blu-ray]

Every backflip, leak and photo op — the whole glorious box set.

Veep is what you get when you point the sharpest comedy writers alive at the corridors of power and let them off the leash. This complete box set follows Selina Meyer's staff through every leak, backflip, doomed announcement and desperate photo opportunity — and while it is set in Washington, the DNA is pure government town, which is why it lands so hard with anyone who works in one. Julia Louis-Dreyfus is magnificent, the scripts are ruthless and endlessly quotable, and the whole thing rewards a proper winter binge. For the public servant, the political staffer, or the relative who follows Question Time like sport, it is a generous, guaranteed-laugh gift with just enough uncomfortable recognition to make it perfect.

• The complete series of the multi-award-winning political comedy
• Julia Louis-Dreyfus as a gaffe-prone Vice President
• Ruthless, quotable satire of life near the top
• A binge-worthy gift for any government-town resident
