Controversial ex-Labor leader Mark Latham has come out guns blazing and they are squarely pointed at ex-Liberal leader John Hewson.
“Every time I open a newspaper, there is John Hewson sticking his nose in where it’s not wanted. I mean, who is interested in what he has to say?” said Latham in an interview earlier today.
“It’s amazing that he even gets airtime. I guess the only good that ever comes out of it is that he completely undermines his cronies in the Liberal Party.”
“People in glass houses should not throw stones. Someone needs to tell him to pull his head in and stay out of politics. Your time is up mate. Live with your failures.”
The notoriously outspoken former minister was also in the press in relation to comments on Prime Minister Julia Gillard, labelling her as “wooden”. The criticism followed an interview with Ms Gillard in which she repeatedly leaned over to drink some water from a glass, took a sip, and then went upright again.
Mr Latham is currently on tour promoting his latest book “I Just Wanna Smash Your Face In”.
