The Ecclesiastical Church of Reformed Sinners have released a statement saying that they are “overwhelmed with grief” at the loss of the cultural icon.

The Mugga Way church were the highest bidders when the item was listed on eBay in 2005.

“We have kept the Rice Cracker in a hermetically sealed enclosure since it’s purchase,” said Brother Dan Jones from the church.

“The Rice Cracker has great sentimental value, and I have to say it does bring in the tourist dollars.”

The Newton family were unavailable for comment.
