Scientologists are “on the money” says Pope

Scientology is sexy says Pope.

Eminent theologist Dr Karsten Pope has come out in defence of the controversial religion of Scientology.

“People often criticise Scientology as being a powerful money-making organisation, that preys on people with low self-esteem,” Dr Pope said in his exclusive interview with The Canberra News Digestive.

“However, I think it is much more than just that. Just ask any of Hollywood’s finest such as Tom Cruise, Juliette Lewis or that guy who played Rooster in Baretta.”

Scientology is currently in the spotlight due to the public break up of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, with some speculating that the religion played a significant role.

“Let us look at that other powerful religious organisation, Christianity. To join, you are expected to believe that Jesus Christ, who was purportedly the Son of God, could walk on water and magically heal people. Does that even sound remotely plausible?”

“Next let us look at some Scientology basics. Xenu, the ruler of the Galactic Confederacy brings billions of frozen people to Earth 75 million years ago, stacks them around volcanoes and blows them up with hydrogen bombs, creating swarms of disembodied alien souls known as Body Thetans. Sure, I get it.”

“If you are still not convinced, I also offer this comparison. Christians want you to believe a story written by unknown people over 2,000 years ago. Scientologists only ask you to believe a story composed by a science-fiction writer just a few decades ago. I know where I’ll be putting my money.”

For those still unconvinced by Scientology, Dr Pope recommends a free Dianetics “Audit” using the latest Mark Super VII Quantum E-meter.

“You have nothing to lose, and we have everything to gain. You don’t want to end up in the landing station on Venus where your soul will be told lies and dropped into the ocean off the Californian coast, do you? I thought not.”

Dr Karsten Pope is currently on tour promoting his book, “So You’ve Ruined Your Thetan.”
