Award winning actress Charlize Theron has been cast as mining magnate Gina Rinehart in an upcoming movie about the world’s wealthiest woman.
The movie, which has has the current working title of “Big Precious Hole”, will tell the story of Gina Rinehart and how she transformed her enormous inheritance into something even larger.
“We wanted to capture the essence of Gina,” said executive producer Walt Goldstein in an exclusive interview with The Canberra News Digestive.
“Gina does not do anything by halves, so she should expect nothing less in a movie about her life. Charlize is perfect for this role because not only is she beautiful, but she is versatile. Anyone who has seen ‘Monster’ knows exactly what I am talking about.”
“Of course the movie would not be complete without an accurate portrayal of Gina’s children, and we are enlisting the best. We are looking at Rose Byrne to play Hope Rinehart Welker, Emily Browning for the role of Bianca Rinehart, and Dieter Brummer will do a fantastic John Hancock.”
The movie is expected to commence shooting later in the year.
Whilst Gina Rinehart is reported to be increasing her stake and influence in Australian media, sources suggest she has no immediate plans to purchase The Canberra News Digestive for a large undisclosed sum of money.
Interesting background to this story is that Kathy Bates was originally cast for the main role, but then Gina Rinehart bought a 30% share in the production company making the film. Within a month Bates had been replaced by Theron.
